Overview
Denis Whiting began the operation of Cambooya Welding Works as a privately owned business in 1975 at Cambooya, a small township situated 27 KM from Toowoomba on the Darling Downs.

Workshop space was then 195 sq metres with a staff level of 3. Workshop area now totals 940 sq metres, with staffing levels varying between 15-20.
Over the years, Cambooya Welding Works has fabricated and erected on site, throughout Australia, Bulk Grain Handling Systems, ranging in capacity from 10-300 Tonne per hour. To complement these systems, a range of grain dryers were imported and utilized to take advantage of fluctuating grain prices.
Realizing the importance of soil conservation, the company diversified into a range of tractor drawn graders for the development of contour banks, fire breaks and road maintenance. Units from 4- 8 tonne with 16-20 foot blade.
The first mobile feed mixer was built in 1987, which then carried onto the production of stationary and mobile roller mills, 10 – 20 tonne per hour, servicing the beef and dairy industry. The workshop has the equipment to also machine and re-groove the rolls.
Cambooya Welding Works has also been involved in commercial feedlots, with capacities up to 20,000 head on full production, fabricating bulk storage systems, race and dispatch areas.
